About

ABOUT

Dengate Joinery has provided reliable joinery services for customers throughout NSW for over 50 years and is an Australian-owned company with quality at its core. Originally part of the construction company E.G. Dengate and Sons, Dengate Joinery became a separate entity in 1988.

With Malcolm Dengate (grandson of E.G. Dengate) at the helm, the company then became Malcolm Dengate Joinery. The company saw steady growth over the next five years. Sadly, Malcolm passed away in 1995, and the joinery business was then purchased by current owners, John and Glenys Rule.

With a current workforce of 12 full-time staff, at Dengate Joinery, we work hard to ensure friendly and efficient service for all our customers. Dedicated to delivering the best quality products and services, we keep up-to-date with the latest technologies to ensure we’re always at the top of our game.

Combining the latest equipment and techniques with traditional handmade and finished windows and doors, we offer customers a wealth of choices for their homes and properties.

We have purposely retained mortice, tenoned, and wedged joints (not bridle joints with nails or pins) and we screw our frames together (rather than having them nailed or gang nailed). This means we can create the best quality products, which will last long into the future.

For more information on building approval requirements, ratings of our windows and door systems (water penetration, air infiltration, operating force, bush fire regulation), or where the future lies in energy ratings, please get in touch with our friendly team.

AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS

As there have been many changes in the industry over the years, so too have there been changes at Dengate Joinery, in order to ensure that we meet all current building regulations. As members of WADIC (Window and Door Industry Council), which has fellow members on various decision-making committees at government levels, we're committed to achieving the best standards.

The most significant change has been the introduction of Australian Standard AS2047 (windows in buildings). This standard measures the performance of window and door assemblies, which are tested for structural strength, water penetration, air infiltration and operating force. At Dengate Joinery, we've subsequently had all our windows and sliding door assemblies tested by the CSIRO to ensure our products comply with this standard.
